License Agreement Displayed with Corporate Install

SYMPTOMS

When you install Internet Explorer on a Windows 3.x operating system, the license agreement for Internet Explorer is displayed even though the package that was created with the Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) was a corporate package.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if Internet Mail is not added as an optional component in the IEAK wizard. If Internet Mail is included as an optional component, the license agreement for Internet Explorer will not be displayed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do one of the following:

Add Internet Mail as a custom component to the corporate package that will be distributed.
-OR-
Copy the existing Setup.exe located in Ieak\Iebin\Eng\Intra31bs\Disk1 with the one that resides in Ieak\Iebin\Eng\Intra31ml\Disk1. Be sure that the old Setup.exe is overwritten. After this has been done, the custom Internet Explorer builds must be rebuilt.

NOTE: Be sure to delete the previous builds and do not try to overwrite them.

MORE INFORMATION

This appears to be a problem in the build process where the non-license agreement version of Setup.exe is not included in the Internet Explorer without Internet Mail build files.
