MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Use the instructions located at
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdn-online/workshop/browser/ext/tutorials/explorer.asp
to create and register a custom vertical Explorer Bar for Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  2. Start Internet Explorer. From the View menu, select Explorer Bar. Select the newly registered Explorer Bar. The vertical Explorer Bar should appear in the left pane and be the size specified by using the instructions.

  3. Press F11 key, or select Full Screen from Internet Explorer's View menu. Internet Explorer should expand to fill the entire screen and a small, depressed "push pin" icon should appear in the heading bar for the left pane. Click the "push pin" icon so that it is not depressed. Move the cursor to the right pane and wait a few seconds. The left pane should auto-hide by sliding to the left and off the screen.

  4. Move the cursor to the far left edge of the screen. The custom Explorer Bar that was auto-hidden should reappear, but instead of regaining its previous width, it will now occupy a small, narrow pane on the left side of the screen. It can be resized.
