If you are currently running Microsoft PowerPoint for the Macintosh, version 4.0 and you want to share PowerPoint files with people running Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows or Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition, you can use the PowerPoint 97-98 Import Converter. With this converter, you can open files created in PowerPoint 97 or PowerPoint 98 in your copy of PowerPoint 4.0 for the Macintosh. Previously, if you were running PowerPoint 4.0 for the Macintosh and you wanted to view a presentation created in PowerPoint 97, the person who created the presentation had to save the file in a different format. Now, with this converter, you can just open these PowerPoint files and start working with the presentation.
