If you install the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service on a computer running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 3, and then install a new certificate, you may be unable to send messages that require Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) authentication through the SMTP service.
