PRJ98: Task Split in a Project Created in an Earlier VersionID: q180291
|
In Microsoft Project 98, some tasks in a project may display a split when a split is not expected.
This behavior occurs when you load a file created in Microsoft Project 4.O, and the task that displays the split has a percent complete greater than zero, is a fixed duration task, and has no resource assigned.
To work around this problem, change the duration of the task to zero. Then, reenter the original duration and percent complete.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service
Release 1 (SR-1).
For additional information about obtaining and installing SR-1, please see
