PRJ98: Unexpected Assignment Sort Order When Project Exported

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you use an export format map to save a file that contains inserted projects, tasks in the Assignments section are not grouped by project.

NOTE: One example of an export format map is "Export to HTML using standard template."

CAUSE

When you use an export format map to save a project, tasks in the Assignments section are sorted by the Unique ID field (not shown by default), instead of by the Project or Task ID field.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
