PRJ98: Unexpected Leveling Delay for Tasks with SNET ConstraintID: q184671
|
In Microsoft Project 98, when you level a project, an unexpected delay may occur on tasks with Start No Earlier Than (SNET) constraints.
This behavior occurs when a task has a SNET constraint that is during nonworking time. The leveling delay added to the task includes the nonworking time, which adds more delay to the task than is necessary.
To work around this behavior, avoid assigning a task a SNET constraint during nonworking time. Instead, assign SNET constraints during working time.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service
Release 1 (SR-1).
