PRJ98: Crash When Clicking a Date in a Calendar Control

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you use the calendar drop-down control to choose a date, you may receive the one of following error messages.

In Windows 95

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the Problem persists, contact the program vendor.
If you click Details, you receive the following message:
WINPROJ caused an invalid page fault in module Winproj.exe at <address>.

In Windows NT

An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated.

Exception access violation <number>, Address <address>.


RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, install Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1).


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
