PRJ98: AutoFilter Shows Wrong Tasks Using Next Month AutoFilterID: q188816
|
In Microsoft Project 98, when you apply the Next Month AutoFilter, you may not see the expected tasks listed.
This behavior occurs when you apply the Next Month AutoFilter in the Start
or Finish field, and the next month is in a different year.
For example, if the current month and year is December 1998 and you apply
the Next Month AutoFilter in the Finish field, tasks that finish in January
1999 will not be displayed. Instead, any tasks that finish in January 1998
will be displayed.
The Next Month AutoFilter assumes that the next month is in the current
year.
NOTE: You may see the same behavior in the date fields Start1 through Start10 and Finish1 through Finish10.
To work around this problem, use the Custom AutoFilter and choose the correct month and year to filter for.
For example, to create a Custom AutoFilter for tasks that finish in the month of January 1999, fill out the Custom AutoFilter dialog box as follows:
Show rows where:
Finish
is greater than or equal to 1/1/99
And
is less than or equal to 1/31/99
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service
Release 1 (SR-1).
For additional information about obtaining and installing SR-1, please see
