Cannot Play Media Rights Manager Content on Second Install of WindowsID: Q233503
|
Windows Media Rights Manager protected content cannot be played on more than one installation of an operating system on the same computer.
To increase security, when the Windows Media Player obtains a license from a Windows Media Rights Manager server, the key and license files are associated with the installation of Microsoft Windows that was running when the license was acquired. Then, when run from a secondary installation of Microsoft Windows, Windows Media Player will go through the license acquisition process again.
If you want to play content on a second installation of Microsoft Windows, contact your content provider for information about obtaining another license.
