Encoder May Stop Responding with AVI FilesID: Q235382
|
The Windows Media Encoder may stop responding when you encode AVI files that are larger than one billion (1,000,000,000) bytes, approximately 0.96 gigabytes.
Some AVI files re-created by the DShow Graph Editor may also cause the Windows Media Encoder to stop responding, even though the files work with the Windows Media Player.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows Media Services version 4.0.
