Unicast stream.

To configure a live Unicast stream, you need to configure the NetShow Real
Time Encoder and configure the NetShow Server.
Configuring the NetShow Real Time Encoder
To configure the NetShow Real Time Encoder, use the following steps:
- Start the Microsoft NetShow Real Time Encoder to launch the QuickStart
Wizard. If the QuickStart Wizard does not start, click File and choose
New.
- In the QuickStart Wizard, select QuickStart and click OK.
- You will be presented with a list of templates for the encoder
settings. Using the information provided in the Description field,
select the template that best suits your needs, and then click OK.
- The NetShow encoder is now configured and ready to encode.
NOTE: For the field labeled "Stream Reference," the URL listed in this
box is the URL that your NetShow server will use to connect to the
NetShow Encoder.
- You can start the encoder by clicking the button with the arrow
pointing to the right. You are now ready to move on to configuring your
NetShow server.
Configure the NetShow Server
The NetShow documentation contains detailed information on configuring a
Unicast Broadcast publishing point. Use the following steps to access the
appropriate section in the documentation:
- Start the NetShow Administrator.
- The Administrator should open with the Start Here page
selected. If it does not, select Start Here from the Administration
Menu on the left side of the NetShow Administrator.
- From the Start Here page, select "Steps to setup a live broadcast from
NetShow Encoder." The NetShow documentation will open and display the
section labeled "To configure and access broadcast (live) Unicast
streams."
- Click the link labeled "To create a broadcast Unicast publishing
point using QuickStart" and follow the steps listed there to configure
a Unicast Broadcast point.
When you have configured your Unicast Broadcast Publishing Point, start
the NetShow Encoder.
