NetShow Content Fails to Render Audio or Video

SYMPTOMS

When you try to view Windows NT Server NetShow 3.0 Services content with the NetShow 2.0 player, the player appears to be playing but fails to render any audio or video.

CAUSE

You may be attempting to view content that has been created using codecs that comes with the NetShow Services 3.0 encoder.

WORKAROUND

To view content that was created using the NetShow 3.0 codecs, you must use the Microsoft Media Player version 5.2 or later. To download the Microsoft Media Player, go to one of the following Web sites and select NetShow:
