When you try to convert a Microsoft Access 95 version 7.0 database to Access 97, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Record(s) can't be read; no read permissions on '<filename>',
-or-
Automation Error
The database that you are trying to convert was created after a version of the Office 95 Year 2000 Update was installed that contains a version of the Microsoft Jet database engine that causes the problem.
In order to convert your Access 95 database, follow these steps:
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 95 version 7.0 with the Office 95 Year 2000 Update.
This problem does not occur when you convert an Access 95 database to Access 2000.
To determine if you have the correct version of the Office 95 Year 2000 Update installed on your computer, check the version of the Msjt3032.dll file. This file should be version 3.000.5226 or later. To check the version of Msjt3032.dll, follow these steps:
