ACC2000: DocErr "What Name AutoCorrect fixes and doesn't fix"ID: Q200598
|
The Microsoft Access Help Topic "What Name AutoCorrect fixes and doesn't fix in an Access database" states the following:
You can save changes to an object if you have permissions to modify the design of the object, you have write access to the database, and you have exclusive access to make changes. This information is incomplete. You cannot use the Name Autocorrect feature in a Microsoft Access Design Master or a Replica even if you are the owner of the object and have full permissions in the Design Master.
When you replicate a database initially and create the Design Master, the Name AutoCorrect feature is turned off. When the feature is turned off and then a replica is created, the replica inherits all attributes of the Design Master. There is no way to reactivate the Name Autocorrect feature in a replica or the Design Master.
You must make the changes to the object names manually, and then synchronize to have the changes corrected.
