ACC2000: How to Remove a Form's Name and/or Title Bar

SUMMARY

By default, Microsoft Access displays the name of a form in a form's title bar. This article shows you how to remove the name from the title bar, as well as how to remove the entire title bar, including the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons.

To remove the name from the form's title bar, follow these steps:

  1. Open a form in Design view.


  2. If the property sheet is not displayed, on the View menu, click Properties.


  3. Type a space in the Caption property box.


  4. On the View menu, click Form View.


    5. Note that the form's title bar has no name; however, it still has the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons.
To completely remove the form's title bar, including the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons, follow these steps:
  1. Switch the form to Design view.


  2. Set form's BorderStyle property to None.


  3. On the View menu, click Form View.


    4. Note that the form's title bar is completely removed.
