SUMMARY
This article shows you how to use watermarks in a form.
MORE INFORMATION
By adding a background picture to a form, you can simulate a watermark. A
background picture in a form applies to the entire page, including the page
and form headers and footers. To include a watermark on your form, follow these steps:
- Open the property sheet of the form.
- Set the Picture property to any .bmp, .ico, .wmf, .dib, or .emf file on your hard disk. If you have installed graphics filters for other programs, you can use any file supported by those filters. If you are not sure of the path or file name, click in the Picture property box, and then click the Build (...) button.
- In the PictureType property box, specify whether you want the picture to be Embedded or Linked.
- You can determine the proportions of the picture by setting the
PictureSizeMode property. This property has three settings: Clip, which displays the picture at actual size; Stretch, which sizes the picture to fit the area within the margins; and Zoom, which sizes the picture to fill either the height or width of the area within the margins.
- You can specify the position of the picture on the form by setting the PictureAlignment property. Microsoft Access aligns the picture within the margins of the form. The available settings are Top Left, Top Right, Center, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, and Form Center.
- You can repeat the picture across the form by setting the
PictureTiling property to Yes. Tiling starts at the position specified in the PictureAlignment property.
