ACC2000: Page Design Changes Made in E-mail Message Not Saved

SYMPTOMS
When you make a design change to a data access page from within an e-mail message, the change is not saved to the page in the database. You do not get a prompt to save the page or a warning that you will lose the change.
RESOLUTION
If you want to change the design of a page before sending it to someone and you want to save the change to the page in your database, use one of the following methods:
Method 1
- Select the page. On the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient.
- Make the necessary changes.
- On the File menu, click Save.
- Click Send.
Method 2
- In the Database window, click Pages under Objects. Select the page that you want to change, and then click Design.
- Make the necessary changes.
- On the File menu, click Save.
- On the File menu, click Close.
- Select the page. On the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient.
MORE INFORMATION
The e-mail message will contain the change, even if you do not use one of
the methods in the "Resolution" section.
Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Open the sample database Northwind.mdb.
- In the Database window, click Pages under Objects, and then click New.
- In the New Page dialog box, click Design View. In the Choose the table or query where the object's data comes from box, select Employees, and then click OK.
- In the Field List box, under the Employees table, click to select EmployeeID, and then click Add To Page.
- On the File menu, click Save. Type Page1 in the File name box.
Click Save.
- On the File menu, click Close.
- On the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient.
- In the Toolbox, click Label. Draw a label on the page.
- Type a valid name in the To line, and then click Send.
Note that you do not receive a prompt to save the changes made to the page.
- Open the page that you created.
Note that the label that you created in step 8 is not on the page.
