ACC2000: Renaming a Data Access Page Only Renames the ShortcutID: Q198765
|
Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills.
When you rename the shortcut (or link) for a data access page, the name of the HTML file does not change.
The name of the shortcut does not link the shortcut and the HTML file together.
You need to rename the shortcut and the associated HTML file separately.
The page still opens correctly even if the shortcut and the HTML file have different names. If you rename, move, or delete the HTML file and then try to open the page using the shortcut, you receive a prompt to locate the HTML file.
If you delete the page and click Yes to the prompt to delete the link and page (HTML) file, Access will delete the HTML file, even though it has a different name.
