ACC2000: Seven Nested Subforms or Subreports Allowed in AccessID: Q214651
|
The Microsoft Access 2000 "Form and report specifications" Help Topic contains the following specification:
Number of levels of nested forms or reports 3
The Help Topic "Subforms: What they are and how they work" contains the following statement:
You can also nest up to ten levels of subforms.
Both items are incorrect.
Access 2000 allows seven nested subforms or subreports. That is, the main form has a one-to-many relationship with the first subform, and the first subform has a one-to-many relationship with the second subform, and so on, for a total of eight forms, including the main form.
For more information about creating nested subforms and subreports, click Microsoft Access Help on the
Help menu, type "create one or more subforms" in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard,
and then click Search to view the topics returned.
