Creating a Data Series Replaces Formatting in ExcelID: Q77513
|
In Microsoft Excel, if you create a series of numbers or dates using the
Series dialog box, the cell pattern or shading in the first cell is copied
down the length of the series. This formatting replaces any existing
formatting throughout the series.
This behavior is by design. To avoid losing the formatting of your cells
when you create a series, do the following:
"Microsoft Excel User's Guide, Book 1," version 4.0, pages 238-239 and
122-127.
"Microsoft Excel User's Guide," version 3.0, pages 205-206 and
261-264.
"Microsoft Excel Reference Guide," version 2.1, pages 144-145 and
309-310.
Additional query words: 2.0 2.00 2.01 2.1 2.10 2.2 2.20 2.21 3.0 4.0 5.0
