When you attempt to update accounting data, the following error message occurs
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error! Program <Path>
abnormal program termination
where <Path> is the path to Excel.exe. When you click OK, the data is not
imported.
This problem occurs when you use Peachtree to convert Peachtree 3.5 data files to a later version, for example version 4.x or 5.x, and then use the Import Wizard in the Small Business Financial Manager (SBFM) to update accounting data.
For more information see the Readme.txt file in the SBFM folder.
To successfully update accounting data, follow these steps:
1. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
2. Point to Find on the Tools menu, and click Files or Folders. In the
Named box, type "*.mdb" (without the quotation marks) and click Find
Now.
3. Right-click your company name and click Delete.
The default location for this file is usually the following:
Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\SBFM\Database
4. Restart Excel. On the Accounting menu, click Import to import the
accounting data.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
