In Microsoft Excel, when you click the Help button for a Data Analysis tool, you may receive the following error message:
The topic does not exist. Contact your application vendor for an
updated Help file (129).
This problem occurs when you click the Help button in a dialog box for any of the Data Analysis Tools.
To view Help for any of the Data Analysis tools, click Contents And Index on the Help menu and search for the tool by name. For example, to view the Help topic for the Anova tool, follow these steps:
1. On the Help menu, click Contents And Index.
2. Click the Index tab. Type "Anova" (without the quotation marks), and
then click OK.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows.
The following tools do not have Help topics while you are using the Data Analysis Tools menu command:
Anova: Single Factor
Anova: Two Factor with Replication
Anova: Two Factor without Replication
F-Test: Two Sample for Variances
t-Test: Paired Two Sample for Means
t-Test: Two Sample Assuming Equal Variances
t-Test: Two Sample Assuming Unequal Variances
z-Test: Two Sample for Means
For more information about Data Analysis, click Contents And Index on the Help menu, click the Index tab in Microsoft Excel Help, type the following text

and then double-click the selected text to go to the
"data analysis tools in Analysis ToolPak"
topic. If you are unable to find the information you need, ask the Office
Assistant.
