A comment in a worksheet cell may be resized unexpectedly so that the comment box object is only slightly visible when you rest the mouse pointer over the comment marker.
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:

To work around this problem, manually resize the comment. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Right-click the cell that contains the comment, and then click Show
Comment on the menu that appears.
2. Click the border of the comment. Use the resize handles that appear
to resize the comment.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
