The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Excel 97, when you print or view a worksheet in print preview, and the worksheet contains a linked pasted picture, the output may be a different size from the size you expect.
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
-and-
-and-
To work around this problem, paste the cells as a picture that is not linked to the cells. The problem is likely to occur only on printers with default resolutions that are greater than 300 dpi or on printers with resolutions that are not based on 300 and 150 dpi.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
If the default resolution of the printer is 600 dpi, and you change the resolution to 1200 dpi (if this setting is available for the printer), the printed picture may increase in size and be truncated. If you change the resolution to 300 dpi the printed size may be smaller.
For more information about linked pictures, click Contents And Index on the Help menu, click the Index tab in Excel Help, type the following text
linked objects
and select and double-click "captured screen pictures" to go to the "Create
pictures of cells, charts, and other objects" topic. If you are unable to
find the information you need, ask the Office Assistant.
