This problem may occur when all of the following conditions are true:

To work around this behavior, use any of the following methods to change one of the conditions listed earlier.
1. Select the cells with rotated text.
2. On the Format menu, click Cells.
3. On the Number tab, in the Category list, click any format other
than General. Click OK.
To adjust the height of the row to accommodate all of the text in a cell, follow these steps:
1. Select the cells with rotated text.
2. On the Format menu, point to Row, and then click AutoFit.
1. Select the cells with rotated text.
2. On the Format menu, click Cells. Then, click the Alignment tab.
3. Under Orientation, type 0 (zero) in the Degrees box. Then, click OK.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
