FP2000: Empty Frameset Displayed When Opening a PowerPoint Presentation in FrontPage

SYMPTOMS

An empty frameset is displayed when you open a PowerPoint presentation in FrontPage 2000.


CAUSE

Microsoft FrontPage 2000 does not edit PowerPoint HTML documents.


RESOLUTION

Use PowerPoint to edit your PowerPoint HTML document, and then save the HTML document to the FrontPage web.


MORE INFORMATION

PowerPoint only stores a redirection script in its main document. FrontPage does not evaluate this script; therefore, the actual frameset, which is stored in the presentation folder is not opened.
