One or more of the Microsoft Word Documents you would like to theme is open.
Please close all open Word documents that you would like to theme and try again.
or
The document you would like to theme originated in Microsoft Word
Please close the document and them it from Microsoft Word

Because you created the document in Microsoft Word, you should use Word to change the theme for the document.

To change the theme of the pages in a web that were created with Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

To Add Or Change the Theme of All Pages

  1. Make sure that there no pages are open in Page view.


  2. Switch to Folder view.


  3. On the Format menu, click Theme.


  4. Click to select the All Pages option.


  5. Click to select the theme you want to add or change, then click OK.


To Add Or Change the Theme of One Page

To change the theme of a page in a web that was created with Microsoft Word, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure that there are no pages open in Page view.


  2. Switch to the Folder view.


  3. Click to select the page to which you want to apply the theme.


  4. On the Format menu, click Theme.


  5. Click to select the "Selected Page(s)" option.


  6. Click to select the theme you want to add or change, then click OK.


In both of these situations, FrontPage will use Microsoft Word to apply the theme to any page that was created by Microsoft Word.
