FP2000: Shared Border on a Word HTML File are not Displayed ProperlyID: Q232253
|
When you use the Save As Web Page command to save a Word document into a FrontPage web and then apply Shared Borders to the page in FrontPage, the Shared Borders are not displayed in your Web browser.
Microsoft Word writes an Originator meta tag into the HTML document which FrontPage does not remove when the document is saved in FrontPage. FrontPage does not remove the Originator meta in order prevent the application of Themes to the document.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
<meta name=Originator content =<"Microsoft Word 9">
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
If you want to edit the Word document in Word after you apply Shared Borders to it in FrontPage, you will need to remove the Originator meta tag from the source code again. Please refer to the RESOLUTION section of this article for information on how to do this.
