ID: Q219698

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you specify a cell width on a table but no table width, the table will collapse to equal portion sizes of the columns.

Although the table appears collapsed or appears to use equal sized cells, it displays differently in your Web browser.

CAUSE

If the total width specified is greater than 100%, FrontPage will display the page differently in Normal view than the view in your Web browser.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, you must set the total width of your table under 100%. The easiest way to do this is use the following method:

  1. Select the cells in your table.

  2. Right-click the highlighted cells, and click Distribute Columns Evenly.

  3. Save the page, and preview it in your Web browser.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
