FP2000: Only GIF and JPG Files are Valid Formats for Theme ImagesID: Q219609
|
When you modify a theme in FrontPage, all picture formats appear when you are prompted to select an image.
When you attempt to select an image that is not a GIF or JPG, you receive the following message:
where <Path> is the path to your image file and <Filename> is the name of the image you chose."<Path>\<Filename>" is an invalid graphics file format for themes. Valid graphics formats are GIF and JPG.
You may only use GIF or JPG images when working with themes, because FrontPage will not convert these files into a web format.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
All image formats are shown when you are prompted to choose an image for a theme.
Although all image formats are listed, only GIF and JPG images are valid, supported image formats to use in a theme.
To convert the file to GIF or JPG format, use an image editor, such as Microsoft Image Composer or Adobe Photoshop, or insert the image you want to use in a page and save the image out as either a GIF or JPG format.
