The information in this article applies to:
When you drag a word or item from a page that has a shared border to the main body and then undo the operation, two copies of the item that you moved remain.
-or-
When you drag a word or item from a page that has a shared border to the
main body and then undo the operation, the word or item is removed from the
page.
FrontPage undoes commands only for one document at a time. Because the shared borders are separate Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) documents (Top.htm, Bottom.htm, Left.htm, Right.htm), which are stored in the _borders directory of a FrontPage Web, the Undo command is performed only for the active page in the FrontPage Editor.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Move the insertion point to the shared border.
This step makes the border the active page in FrontPage Editor.
2. On the Edit menu, click Undo.
3. Move the insertion point to the main page.
This step makes it the active page in FrontPage Editor.
4. On the Edit menu, click Undo.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FrontPage 98. \**
