FP98: Error Creating Disk-Based Web if Upper Level Folder Doesn't ExistID: Q178476
|
When you attempt to create a disk-based web in a subfolder where the upper level folder does not already exist, you will receive the following error:
where <folder> is the folder that does not already exist and subfolder is the content root.Cannot create the folder, "c:\<folder>\<subfolder>".
Microsoft FrontPage 98 will only create the top level folder, it will not generate multiple folder levels when creating a disk-based web.
Create the upper level folder in Windows Explorer before using FrontPage Explorer to create the root web.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
