FP98: How FrontPage Works With Visual SourceSafeID: Q189368

This article discusses how Microsoft FrontPage 98 integrates with Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.
FrontPage does not use or require the client software for Visual SourceSafe.
Instead FrontPage was designed and intended to operate when the Visual
SourceSafe database is on the same physical computer as the Web server. It is possible to
set up Visual SourceSafe to operate when the database is on a different computer, however
FrontPage is not designed to support this
functionality.
FrontPage was designed and tested to integrate with Visual SourceSafe when you installed it
