Microsoft FrontPage 98 for Windows
SUMMARY
This article describes how to create a centered, non-tiled watermark in
FrontPage that remains fixed (does not scroll) behind any scrolling
foreground information. This procedure uses Cascading Style Sheet
technology for Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0.
MORE INFORMATION
To insert a fixed watermark on your page, follow these steps:
- Open the page that you want to add a watermark to in FrontPage Editor.
- On the File menu, click Page Properties, and then click the General tab.
- In the Page Properties dialog box, click Style, and then click the
Colors tab.
- Click Browse.
- Double-click the file that you want to use for the watermark.
- In the Attachment list, click Fixed.
NOTE: The Attachment option allows you to define whether the
image scrolls with the text or not.
- In the Repeat list, click No Repeat.
- In the Vertical Position list, click Center.
- In the Horizontal Position list, click Center.
To preview how your page will look, click Preview In Browser on the File
menu.
For more information about the options you can choose in the Style dialog
box, click the Help button while the Style dialog box is open.
NOTES:
- You can also create a watermark by selecting the Watermark check box
in the Page Properties dialog box (File menu). However, when you use
this option, the image will be tiled behind your foreground
information.
- If the image you are using for the watermark is not already in your
Web, you should import the image into your Web before using it in
creating a watermark. For more information about importing a file,
click the Index tab in FrontPage Help, type the following text
import
and then double-click the selected text to go to the "Import Command"
topic.
