The information in this article applies to:
When you insert or open a Microsoft Word file that contains bulleted or numbered paragraphs, the bullet points or numbers may be lost when the document is converted to Rich Text Format (RTF).
This data is dropped by the Microsoft Word to RTF text converters that are shipped with FrontPage 98 and Office 97.
To work around this problem, use method appropriate for your situation.
Select the imported list and reapply the bullets or numbering by clicking Bullets And Numbering on the Format menu in FrontPage Editor.
In Word 97, save the file as Rich Text Format, close the file, and then import it into FrontPage Editor.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
In FrontPage, documents are converted to HTML in two steps:
1. The document is converted from its native format to RTF.
2. Next, the document is converted from RTF to HTML using a separate
converter.
