XFOR: IMS Halts if RFC821 Address Over 1k in Size is ReceivedID: Q169174

The Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail Service (IMS) may access violate if a syntactically incorrect RFC 821 address over 1 KB in size is received.
This is caused by a buffer overflow in Msexcimc.exe.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange version 5.0 . This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Exchange Server 5.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
