FP98: Relative Hyperlinks Converted to Absolute HyperlinksID: Q182674
|
When you use FrontPage Editor alone (without FrontPage Explorer running) and create a relative hyperlink, the HyperText Markup Language (HTML) code is saved as an absolute hyperlink.
When you use FrontPage Editor while FrontPage Explorer is not running, FrontPage Editor converts the relative hyperlink into an absolute hyperlink.
To work around this behavior and create relative hyperlinks, run FrontPage Explorer while you edit your page in FrontPage Editor.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
