When you create a page that contains an included page with a text overlay from another folder in your web, the included page will not display the image with the overlay in the browser; instead you will see the following message:
[FrontPage Image Map Component]
If the included page comes from another folder in the web and has a text overlay, the included page with the overlay is not displayed correctly.
Keep the included page and the including page in the same folder. Normal image maps in an included page will work even when included page and including page are in different folders.
NOTE: If the original page is in the root web, you can include pages from sub folders with text overlays; however, you cannot have a page in a subfolder including a page with text overlays from the root web.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
