This article describes how to use the U.S. English version of FrontPage on a foreign language version of Windows 95.
To use the U.S. English version of FrontPage on a foreign language version of Windows 95, follow these steps:
1. Start FrontPage Explorer and open a Web.
2. Open a page in FrontPage Editor.
NOTE: When you open a page in FrontPage Editor you may see the
following error message
Unable to interpret the contents of this page. The problem
occurred because code page xxx is not installed on your system.
This resource is necessary in order to interpret pages with the
"windows-xxx" character set.
where xxx represents the code page identification number.
3. Click OK for each error message you see.
4. Right-click anywhere on the page, and then click Page Properties on
the menu that appears.
5. Click the Language tab and then make the following selections:
a. From the "HTML Encoding for saving this page" list, click
US/Western European.
b. From the "HTML Encoding for loading this page" list, click
US/Western European.
6. Click OK.
7. On the File menu, click Save.
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 for each additional page you want to modify.
