OFF: Office Shortcut Bar Does not Auto Hide When FloatingID: Q141776
|
When you enable Auto Hide on the Office Shortcut Bar, drag the Office Shortcut Bar to the middle of the screen, and then click the desktop, the Office Shortcut Bar fails to hide. However, if you dock the Office Shortcut Bar to the edge of the screen and click the desktop, the Office Shortcut Bar hides.
The behavior occurs when you use Auto Hide and the Office Shortcut Bar is
floating (that is, it is not docked to the side of the screen). This
behavior is by design. You should use Auto Hide when the Office Shortcut
Bar is docked.
NOTE: If you start a program, drag the Office Shortcut Bar over the
program window, and enable Auto Hide, the Office Shortcut Bar fails to
hide if Always on Top is selected.
The Office Shortcut Bar can be set to Auto Hide, which causes it to
disappear from the screen when it is not in use. To hide the Office
Shortcut Bar, click Auto Hide on the Office Shortcut Bar menu. When the
command has a check mark next to it, Auto Hide is on.
To use the Office Shortcut Bar when it is hidden, point to the edge of
the screen where the Office Shortcut Bar is docked; the Office Shortcut
Bar will appear. For example, if the Office Shortcut Bar is docked on the
right side of your screen, just point to the right side of the screen.
