OFF2000: How to Move a Submenu Anywhere on the ScreenID: Q212446
|
In any Office application, you can drag a submenu, if it has a move handle (a bar) at the top of the submenu, to a new location. The submenu will become a floating toolbar.
NOTE: A submenu is identified by the triangle symbol to the right of
the command name.
The Basic Shapes menu is an example of a submenu that you can move
anywhere on the screen. To do this, click AutoShapes on the Drawing toolbar, point to Basic Shapes, click the horizontal bar at the top of the menu, and then drag the menu to a new location. To close the floating toolbar, click the Close button (the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the toolbar).
For more information about floating menus, ask the Office Assistant What are floating toolbars?
