OFF97: Out of Memory Opening, Saving, Inserting Files

SYMPTOMS

When you try to create a new Office document, insert a file or object, open or save a file, the following error message appears:

Not enough memory.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when you do any of the following actions repeatedly without closing the program:

• You create a new Office document.

• You insert an object into your Office document.
  
  -or-



• You open a file.
  
  -or-



• You save a file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Office 97 for Windows.
