The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Outlook 97, if you select a Calendar created as a subfolder of the main Outlook Calendar and import holidays, the events are always imported into the main calendar. In some cases duplicates result.
This behavior is by design. Outlook processes reminders for events and appointments in the primary Calendar folder.
To add Holidays to a Calendar residing as a subfolder, follow these steps:
1. On the View menu, click Current View and then Events.
2. On the View menu, click Filter and then Clear All.
3. On the View menu, click Group By Box. Click the Categories label and
drag it to the gray area above the column labels.
4. Click the Holidays label and while holding down the CTRL key drag
the label to the target Calendar folder on the Folder List. The holidays
will be copied to the Calendar subfolder. You may use this procedure to
add other appointments to a subordinate Calendar.
NOTE: Outlook will not process reminders for appointments or events in
this subfolder unless they are also created in the primary folder.
