When creating seven-digit phone number entries in a Microsoft Outlook Contact form, you notice that the area code is not automatically added on some entries.
You have inadvertently entered a seven-digit phone number which begins with the number 1.
Check the seven-digit phone number and reenter it without the 1.
By agreement among telephony providers, the number 1 is reserved to signify long distance or other special access. This convention is observed internationally.
