OL97: DBCS Becomes Garbled Text in Appointment Location FieldID: Q230690
|
When a user types DBCS characters in the Appointment Location field, the characters become garbled if Outlook.exe has been hooked. For example, the IntelliPoint driver hooks all program windows to acquire scroll bar windows message. If a user installs the IntelliPoint driver, DBCS characters change to characters that you do not intend to use.
Outlook mishandles windows message on its message loop and changes the wrong characters.
