OL97: ErrMsg Copying or Moving Remote Mail Message Header

The information in this article applies to:

When copying or moving a message header in Microsoft Outlook 97, you receive the following error Message:

   This Task cannot be performed for Remote Mail message headers.
   Download the complete message.

You have downloaded only the message header; you have not downloaded the complete mail message.

To download the entire error message, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu point to Remote Mail and click Connect.

2. Click to select the information service to use when connecting,

   and then click Next.

3. Click to select "Retrieve and send all new mail" and click Finish.

After message retrieval, you can copy or move the mail message to a different folder.

1. On the Tools menu point to Remote Mail and click Connect.

2. Click to select the information services to use when connecting,

   and click Next.

3. Click to select "Do only the following" and click Finish.

After message retrieval, you get the error message when you attempt to copy or move the message header to a different folder.
