This document describes how to print a selection of an item using Microsoft Word 97 as your e-mail editor.
There are times when you will want to print just a section of a mail message, or perhaps a notes area of an appointment item. Outlook does not provide the facility to do this directly, unless you set Microsoft Word as your default e-mail editor.
In versions 8.0, and 8.01, follow these steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the E-mail tab, click to select "Use Word as the
e-mail editor."
In versions 8.02, 8.03, follow these steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click to select "Use Word as the e-mail editor."
NOTE: If your computer has less than 32MB of RAM you will receive a
warning:
This allows you to take advantage of the features of Word when you
read and write e-mail. 32M of memory is recommended for best
performance. Do you want to turn this on?
2. Click Yes. You may notice a degradation in performance if you do not
have the recommended memory.
1. Open an e-mail message, and click to select a section of text.
NOTE: The first time you open an e-mail message, a prompt will appear
stating "Starting Word as your e-mail editor.
2. On the File menu, click Print.
3. In the Page Range box click Selection.
4. Click OK to print.
