The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Outlook 97, if you receive a meeting invitation that is marked Private, you cannot remove or change its status before forwarding the invitation to someone else.
When you create a meeting request, you can assign it a sensitivity level of Private. Those receiving the request can forward it on to others but they cannot remove its sensitivity level.
1. In the Calendar folder, on the Calendar menu, click to select New
Meeting Request.
2. In the lower right-hand corner of the Appointment tab, click to select
Private.
3. Complete and send the meeting request.
Someone receiving the meeting request can click to clear the Private status before forwarding it to others. However, the request received by the secondary recipient will still be marked as Private, as will the accepted appointment record itself.
