If you delete the primary Calendar folder from the Microsoft Exchange Server, Outlook creates a new Calendar folder. The new folder does not contain appointments from the old folder but the small calendar displayed in Day/Week/Month view still shows bolded days for the old appointments.
Deleting the Calendar folder from the server does not reset the free/busy information in Outlook.
Run Outlook with the /CleanFreeBusy command-line startup switch.
NOTE: The font settings for the Date Navigator may also cause the appointments to appear bolded. To check these settings:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Calendar tab.
3. In the Date Navigator section, click Font, ensure that the Font
Style is not Bold, and then click OK two times to close the Options
dialog boxes.
To clear free/busy time that does not represent a Calendar item, follow these steps:
1. Quit Outlook.
2. On the Windows desktop, right-click the Outlook icon.
3. On the shortcut menu, click Properties.
4. On the Shortcut tab, type a space followed by /cleanfreebusy
in the Target box or Command Line box. If the last character
in the path line is a quotation mark, be sure to type the space and
switch name outside the quotation mark.
5. Click OK, then restart Outlook.
